Privacy Policy

RMXY-1 processes audio on your device and does not collect data from the app.

  • Last updated 30 September 2026
  • Applies to RMXY-1 for iPhone and iPad, standalone and AUv3

RMXY-1 does not send audio, MIDI, analytics, identifiers or any other user data to Random Machines or to any external server.

  • No account
  • No analytics or crash telemetry
  • No advertising or tracking
  • No cloud upload of audio

This policy explains how RMXY-1 handles information when you use it on iPhone or iPad. RMXY-1 is published by Borja Deudero Gracia under the Random Machines name.

Data collection

RMXY-1 does not collect personal data, audio recordings, MIDI data, device identifiers, analytics, crash reports, location, contacts, photos or account information from the app.

Audio and microphone

All audio and MIDI processing happens locally on your device. Audio is not uploaded, not stored on Random Machines servers, and not shared.

In the standalone app you can select a microphone or a connected audio-interface input. RMXY-1 asks for microphone permission only when the selected input needs it. You can use the standalone app without selecting any input.

The standalone app does not currently play audio in the background.

AUv3 and hosted effects

When RMXY-1 runs as an AUv3 audio unit inside a host app, it processes the audio and MIDI that the host provides. The host controls routing, recording, background behaviour and session saving. Please review the host app's own privacy policy.

The standalone app can load third-party AUv3 effects that you have installed. Those effects are made by their own developers and are covered by their own privacy policies.

MIDI output is sent only to the routes you configure.

Local storage

RMXY-1 stores settings, scenes, programs, preferences and related app data on your device. This data stays on your device and is not sent to Random Machines. Scene and program files you export go only where you choose to put them.

Tracking and advertising

RMXY-1 does not track you. It does not use advertising identifiers, third-party advertising, tracking pixels, or analytics SDKs.

Sharing and retention

RMXY-1 does not sell, rent, share or transmit user data. Because no app data reaches our servers, none is retained there.

Support emails

If you email us, you choose to share your email address and message. We use them only to answer your support or privacy request. Emails are handled through our email provider and kept only as long as needed to handle the request and maintain support records. You can ask us to delete your correspondence at any time.

Children

RMXY-1 is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Your choices and rights

You can use standalone without selecting an audio input, deny or revoke microphone permission in iOS Settings, and remove all locally stored app data by deleting RMXY-1 from your device.

If you have emailed us, you may ask to access or delete that correspondence by writing to the address below.

Changes to this policy

If RMXY-1's features or data practices change, we will update this page and the date at the top.
